Through logo development, graphic design, and 70s-inspired art direction, I crafted a bold visual world that honored the roots of Black hair culture — past and present. From color palettes to type treatments, every element was designed to nod to an era where natural hair reigned, while staying aligned with Pinterest’s contemporary visual tone.

Bounce-back branding.
Wash day isn’t just a routine, it’s a ritual, a process, and a love language in motion. For Pinterest and Blavity’s original series, I created a visual identity inspired by the bold, expressive aesthetics of the 1970s — a time when afros were crowns and self-expression through hair was revolutionary.
Crowned in every frame.
Whether it was designing groovy overlays, pairing type with soul, or curating color palettes that spoke to softness and strength, each asset was made to elevate the stories of real BIPOC creators. From bonnet hacks to bounce-back curls, every frame honored the legacy of natural hair while celebrating the everyday beauty in our routines.
